Key nutrients needed in your diet:

  • Boost dietary nitrate – green leafy vegetables and cruciferous vegetables (especially beets)
  • Increase cocoa intake – 85% cocoa (⅔ oz/day dark chocolate or ½ oz/day cocoa)
  • Increase berry anthocyanin intake – 2 -3 oz/day blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries

Basics Of Nutrition For Optimal Wellness:

Clean, lean proteins: organic beef and bison, organic/free range chicken and turkey, wild caught fish, lamb and eggs

Good fats: organic unrefined coconut oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, organic butter, ghee, flax seed oil, avocados, raw nuts and seeds

Vegetables: steamed, sautéed, salads with rich green color (kale, spinach and arugula)

Dressings: extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon, sea salt, pepper, garlic

Fruit: ½ c 1-2 times/day – ½ hour before or 2 hours after a meal

Homemade bone broth: 8-16 oz a day as able for gut healing

Digestion aid: 1 T apple cider vinegar in water can be done before meals

Water: 8 glasses/day – 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, warm lemon water in the morning, avoid really cold beverages
